TWO-NIL was a popular scoreline as Cefn Druids, Flint Town United and Connah’s Quay Nomads all collected impressive Welsh Premier Development League victories.

Druids picked up an eye-catching three points as they came away from reigning champions The New Saints with a two-goal success, Isaac Dawson and Luke Sussex with the goals.

Nomads followed Druids’ lead with a 2-0 away win of their own, the Flintshire outfit beating Newtown courtesy of goals from Jack Swinnerton and Ben Leeman.

Flint were also victorious as they saw off the challenge of visiting Bala Town, Danny Richman and Iwan Forster the scorers.

Airbus saw their scheduled trip to Bangor City postponed.

In the Flintshire Junior Under-19s League, Mynydd Isa Spartans were impressive 6-0 winners at Brymbo Lodge.

Jordan Ashley (2), Dane Shorrock, Will Owens, James Blackwell and Harry Mitchell were on target.

Rhydymwyn were also in fine form as they overcame Mold Alex 5-0 with Josh Sellings (2), Owen Manley (2) and Mason Lowry scoring.

There was an eight goal thriller at Chirk AAA as the home side and Penyffordd shared the points.

Lewis Jones (2), Josh Roberts and Calum Taylor scored for Chirk AAA, but Kieron Jones bagged a second-half hat-trick to add to Sean Mason’s opener to earn Penyffordd a share of the spoils.

Llay Welfare and FC Brickfield were also unable to be separated as they shared six goals and the points.

Cameron Boyle (2) and Ryan Williams grabbed the Llay goals with Harry Wheeler, Nicholas Bateman and Owen Harris-Pringle replying for the visitors.

Jacob Jones and Callum McFarlane scored second-half goals as Brickfield Rangers won 2-1 at home to Holywell Town, who had led through Callum Pritchard’s effort.
