GARETH BOYS was in seventh heaven as he – with a little bit of help from Mohamed Jayman – helped destroy Chirk in the Premier Division.

Brymbo’s Boys came on as first change and caused havoc in his 10 overs, ending with figures of 7-23 as Chirk were dismissed for just 91 in reply to Brymbo’s 244 for eight.

Steve Kelshaw was Chirk’s only batsmen to show resolve with 41 while Jayman had no problems scoring in Brymbo’s innings as he blasted 93 not out in 61 balls.

Skipper James Claybrook added 61 and Greg King scored 41 in an easy win for Brymbo.

Hawarden Park are rooted in the bottom two with Chirk after Ian Martin’s side were hammered by leaders Menai Bridge, who blasted 245 for seven.

Dion Holden top scored with 49 as Craig Wilson landed 3-55.

Park were then skittled out for just 89 as man of the match Holden took 4-18.

It was just as one-sided at Pwllheli who nailed Northop by nine wickets.

The visitors posted 171 for six with Gareth Williams scoring 46 before being run out.

Matthew Williams and Andrew Oates both scored 34 before Chris Moore blasted an unbeaten 82 as Pwllheli cruised to 172 for one.

A superb 127 run unbeaten partnership from Nathaniel Scott (74) and William Ryan (49) led St Asaph to a nine wicket win against Bangor - a victory that lifted the Saints into second place.

Connah’s Quay picked up a much needed win as they beat Gresford by five wickets.

Gresford posted 270 for five but Quay rose to the challenge and made a winning score of 274 for five after 38.4 overs.

Quay had failed to win any of their five completed matches this term before this success.

Llandudno (171-2) destroyed Denbigh (167 all out) by eight wickets while in Division One, Mold maintained their promotion challenge with an eight wickets victory over Bersham.

Bersham batted first and they amassed 182 for nine, Nuwan Amarakoon (43) top scoring as Richard Deniz finished with fantastic figures of 7 for 51.

Mold made a quickfire start as openers Richard Crane (69) and Usman Butt (75) put them on track for victory which was wrapped up inside 36 overs.

Still third in the table, Mold saw leaders Bethesda reach 172 for seven to complete a three wicket win over second placed Mochdre.

Llay Welfare beat Conwy by 97 runs and lie fourth in the standings.

David Phennah cracked 80 and Ethan Griffiths 45 as Llay made 201 for four and then restricted Conwy to 104 for nine, Tom Crewe 4 for 13.

Pontblyddyn sealed a 114 runs victory over Dolgellau after setting 247 for five, Ben Mason (82) and Chris Moss (57) in fine form.

George Forgrave then took 5 for 28 as Pont skittled Dolgellau for 133, Greg Smithies (40) offering some resistance, while Llanrwst (79) were thrashed by Abergele (81 for three).
