Hundreds of runners took to the streets for the 2018 Wrexham Running Festival.
The town played host to this year’s North Wales Marathon Championships with a trio of distance events including a full marathon, half marathon and 20 mile run.
Starting and finishing in Wrexham town centre, the races were supported by a strong crowd as runners descended on the town from across the UK.
The fast course for all three races included a few ups and downs along the way, with two of the hills from the 2015 race removed making it a race with even greater potential for personal bests.
The full marathon and 20 mile race started off at 9am with the half marathon underway at 10:30am.
Routes passed each other along Oak Road, meeting up on Redwither / Erlas Lane running the remaining five miles together.
