IMMORAL and appalling behaviour has been slammed after items were stolen from a Wrexham primary school.

During the early hours of the morning on June 17, two benches were stolen from Minera Primary school.

Parent David Thomas said everyone at the school was shocked to hear of the incident.

He told the Leader: ""I find it horrendous when these things happen, when it affects the children and they can't afford to buy new ones they are quite expensive.

"All the children are confused why they can't use the tables, they are always outside in the summer. It's an immoral act.

"I'm absolutely appalled as to why anyone would consider stealing from little children, they use it, it affects their lives. It's not an anonymous crim when it's committed at a school because you know children are going to be impacted.

"Especially after what they have been through this last year. It's truly appalling when this kind of immoral behaviour occurs, stealing from young children.

"If anyone can help, if you have seen anything then please get in touch with police."

Taking to social media, the school shared CCTV footage appealing for witnesses.

A North Wales Police spokesperson, said: “We received reports of two benches being stolen from a garden at Minera Primary School at 1am on Thursday, June 17.

“Anyone with information can contact North Wales Police on 101 or via the web chat, quoting reference Z086416.”
