In the run up to today's Father's Day (June 20) we asked readers to put their dads in the spotlight.
The Leader wanted to know what is or was special about their dad.
Here are some of the responses we received, of some clearly very much loved dads across Wrexham and Flintshire...
• Lindsay Davies, from Wrexham: "I would like to tell my dad, Kevin Davies, from Wrexham, how much I love him, how special he is to me and how I would be lost without him.
"Since November, I haven't been able to go near him as he has been diagnosed with a brain tumour, so with Covid and the fact his immune system is very low due to his treatment, I have to sit on the drive in my car, talking to him and my mum.
"It's absolutely breaking my heart, I am an only child and my dad has always been there for me, no matter what.
"He would do anything for me, and I just want to let him know that I think he is amazing, I love him so, so much and can't thank him enough for how he has supported me, no matter what.
"The picture I have shared is from our last family holiday in Fuerteventura in August 2019. It's of my dad, my mum, my boys Luke and Oliver, and then myself. I love this picture as it reminds me of happy times."
• Carol Jones: "Pictured are me and my dad, Glyn Jones, on the beach at Golden Sands, Rhyl. Dad sadly passed away December 2020 aged 90 and I miss him every day."
• Nia Marie Jones said of fiancé Joe Hughes: "The best dad ever Joe to Toby and Dotti."
• Sian Griffiths said of her dad Trevor Griffiths: "Dad is a full-time carer for Rhys who is 11, also full-time stay at home dad to 20-month-old Ryan and a hands-on father to a teenager, me.
"Dad always has a smile and is fun and caring no matter what day he has had.
"Our dad is awesome we are his absolute world and he is our role model.
"Thank you for always being there and showing us support and love in everything we do
"Dad you are our hero."
• Angharad Roberts, from Wrexham, said of dad Garry Roberts, also from Wrexham: "Kind, cuddly and makes me laugh."
• Bailey and Logan Rhodes, in Summerhill, said of dad Phillip Rhodes, in New Zealand: "Our dad is really special because he has to go away from home a lot for work. He is an Opera Singer! This means that his time with us is very precious. He plays with is and reads to us and teaches us to be kind."
• Zara Joseph, from Wrexham, of dad Paul Swallow, from Wrexham: "He's so special because there's no one else like my daddy."
• Becky Roberts in Rhostyllen, said of dad Dave Roberts, also in Rhostyllen: "Loves us all dearly and makes us smile with his rubbish jokes."
• Carwyn and Cadi Robertson, in Rhostyllen said of dad Ieuan Robertson, from Wrexham: "Amazing dad we love you loads!"
• Debbie Traquair, from Wrexham, said of dad Nathan Jones, also from Wrexham: "My daddy is so special to me because when I was born 14 weeks early, he came to see me in hospital every single day with mummy. He plays with me and makes me laugh and smile every day. I love my daddy lots and lots."
• Kerry Matthews, from Johnstown said of dad Gareth Reeves, also in Johnstown: "My dad is special because he's always there when we need him. Not only is he a wonderful father to eight children but a fantastic taid to 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren."
• Jemma Farrar, in Poncaiu, said of Darren Farrar on behalf of Archie: "My dad is so special to us because he is our real life superhero, is a solider in the RAF and he makes me and my mum very proud. We love you lots dad from Archie & Jemma."
• Ella Angharad Wyn Jones, from Kingsmills, in Wrexham, said of dad Paul Wyn Jones, from Wrexham: "He is the best dad through and through, and I love him so much."
• Jasmine Garner, from Northop Hall, said of dad Mark Garner, in Essex: "My dad is King of the BBQ and a Master Chef. He always makes me laugh. I love him so much."
• Wyn Bennett, from Summerhill, in Wrexham, said of dad Kevin Bennett, in Wrexham: "Shortly after I was born in April last year, mummy was diagnosed with post natal depression. With no one able to come help, daddy looked after us all, whilst still working full-time. He's a super hero!"
• Abileigh Hughes, from Wrexham, said of dad Alan Hughes, also in Wrexham: "He is so special as he works hard all week in his lorry only get to see him weekends. My best friend."
• Amelia Price, from Leeswood, said of dad Richard Price, also in Leeswood: "My dad is extra special as he was 53-years-old when I was born, so that makes him really old! He really is the best dad, he takes me to bed every night and we have a race up the stairs, I win all the time cos I'm only little. I love my dad loads."
