A NORTH Wales based charity is offering the chance for some 'green' volunteering.

Groundwork North Wales have environmental volunteering opportunities in Wrexham at Llay and Bradley, as part of the We Care project.

Thanks to funding from the Welsh Government Enabling Natural Resources and Well-Being Grant, the We Care project aims to enhance pride in local communities.

The project will develop and deliver local environmental improvements to transform neglected green spaces into green community assets everyone can benefit from through local volunteering.

Volunteers will assist in practical environment tasks to improve the local environment, supporting green spaces as community assets everyone can benefit from and enjoy.

There will also be an opportunity to gain qualifications as part of the project.

Sessions will take place every Wednesday and Friday, from 10am-1pm starting in June, meeting at Alyn Waters, Llay side car park and playground.

Groundwork will provide any equipment required and ask that people wear suitable clothing and footwear.

Sessions are planned in line with government guidelines on maximum numbers to assist with social distancing.
