Detectives investigating a shooting in the east end of Glasgow more than four months ago have released an image of a man they want to trace.

Shots were fired at a home in Millroad Drive, in the Calton area, at around 11pm on Monday April 23.

No one was injured, although the family inside was said to have been left badly shaken as a result of the incident in the residential area.

Officers believe the man in the image may have information that could help them and they are asking anybody who recognises him to get in touch.

Image appeal over firearms incident
Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact detectives (Police Scotland/PA)

He is described as being white, 20 to 35 years old, around 5ft 8ins, with a slim build and short, shaved hair.

In the picture, he was wearing a baggy grey sports-style hooded top.

The force said in a statement: “Police Scotland would like to reassure the public that such incidents are rare and following this, additional police officers were deployed in the area.

“Should any local residents have any concerns, they should contact the police for assistance.”

Anyone with any information, or who recognises the man, is asked to contact CID officers on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
