SHOULD pupils still have to wear face coverings in secondary school?
That is the question the Welsh Government will be considering in the coming weeks.
“There will be no immediate change to our current position but we will work with schools, local authorities and the teaching unions to find ways for the future which mean that face coverings do not have to be worn in every classroom, every day,” said Mr Drakeford at Friday's Welsh Government coronavirus update.
The current rule in Wales is that face coverings should be worn in all areas inside school.
Last month, Dr Giri Shankar, Professional Lead for Health Protection at Public Health Wales, said the rule was being looked at.
He told BBC Breakfast: "This issue is under active consideration in Wales and colleagues are collating all evidence, including the input of Public Health Wales."
