PLANS for a dog grooming business in Connah's Quay have been submitted to Flintshire Council.

A planning application seeking the change of use at a residential property in St Marks Mews has been received by the authority.

In the document applicant Megan Goodall, applying under the company name Puddle and Paw Dog Grooming, explains: "I am wanting to work from home as a dog groomer.

"No structural changes or extensions are being made to the house.

"I cannot foresee any parking issues as any customers will always be able to park on my drive.

"A maximum of four dogs will be groomed a day, but more than likely be three. I am a one to one groomer so the customer will drop the dog off, I will groom (takes two to three hours) and the customer will collect.

"I advise this to highlight and confirm there will be no heavy footfall and no more than one car at a time.

"All customers will be advised to park on the driveway, and told dogs must at all times be kept on a lead.

"All grooms are by prior appointment only.

"I will not be hiring any staff and I plan to operate a one dog at a time policy.

"Dogs will not be in any room that has an adjacent wall to my neighbours house and grooming will only commence after 9.30am and be 3 to 4 days a week (not Sundays).

"I plan on using a commercial waste company to ensure waste is removed appropriately."
