AN ALL-action wrestling event heading for Flintshire this weekend will raise money for Ukrainian refugees.

The much-loved Britannia Wrestling Promotions (BWP) has been wowing crowds since it was first established in Prestatyn in 2008.

At Denbigh Town Hall in October 2021, its wrestlers returned to the square circle for the first time in two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Now the BWP entertainment is set to continue with its latest show to be held at The Academy Buckley on Saturday, March 26.

The two-hour long 'Alpha-Re-Gen' show promises to be one to remember for North Wales' die-hard fans of the sport.

In what looks like being one of the matches of the night, Soner Dursun will fight Martin Kirby in the number one contender match for the PWI-BWP World Catchweight Championship.

In a Fatal 4-Way match, Douggie Matthews, Carl Stocks, Joey Marcus and Matt Williams will battle out for a number one contender spot for the Alpha Gen Championship title in BWP's next show in Denbigh on April 16.

Elsewhere, two former Champions of Wales will go head-to-head on the card for the glory of Cymru. Pitbull will face off against Drill in a match to find out who will once again hold the Championship of Wales title.

Following on From BWP Legend Dylan Roberts’ epic match v British Legend Doug Williams at the 'Gods & Monsters' event, a new mystery challenger now awaits for him in Buckley and his name is Ginha.

Doors for the 'Alpha-Re-Gen' show open at The Academy, Buckley, 6.30pm, with the first fight getting underway at 7pm. Tickets to the event cost: Front row; £15, adults; £10, children; £7 or family ticket; £30.

All money collected on the night will be donated to supporting Ukrainian refugees.
