A NEW wafflehouse in Flintshire has opened its doors.
The Waffle Box opened on Earl Road in Mold earlier this month and brings a whole new dining experience to the town.
It is offering both savoury and sweet waffles (with vegan and gluten free options available) accompanied by soft drinks including milkshakes, barista coffee and hot chocolate as well as beers, wines and cocktails.
Lynsey Jones, owner of the Waffle Box, said: "I have always wanted a venue of my own so when the pandemic hit and I found myself furloughed, I decided to turn the boredom into an opportunity!
"I live near Mold with my husband and two children, and they love waffles!
"With the global demand for both savoury and sweet options increasing it felt right that this should be our focus.
"Paired with a barista coffee or an ice-cold beer or even a cocktail, I hope to see a real mix of customers visiting us, enjoying the opportunity to meet up again for a treat with family & friends.”
Keeping things in the family, Lynsey’s sister, Dionne, who has 15 years’ experience as a baker, will be cooking up a waffle storm in the kitchen.
Working alongside Dionne is their general manager, Ben, who has over 20 years’ experience in hospitality and will manage everything front of house.
