VACANT land in Connah's Quay with "enormous development potential" is set to go under the hammer next month.

The "substantial site", which comprises rundown commercial buildings and a large yard, has been given a guide price of £175,000 to £200,000.

The freehold tenure of 2/2A Dock Road and 334 High Street is up for auction with Smith and Sons Property Consultants on July 7.

The Birkenhead business states: "Situated in a main road position within easy walking distance of shops and well served by public transport, this substantial site has enormous development potential for apartments or alternatively to refurbish and extend the existing buildings for residential or commercial use.

"A number of sites in this part of Connah’s Quay have been redeveloped in recent years for apartments and it is thought that this is the most likely and viable option for this particular land. "There are a range of single and two storey commercial buildings in need of refurbishment which could be used for a variety of commercial purposes if preferred.

"It would be ideal for builders offices and yard, transport storage or car repairs with there being a large yard between the buildings."
