A MOTORIST was stopped by police in Wrexham yesterday (November 29) after he had put Christmas lights on the exterior of his vehicle.
The driver was asked by officers to remove the Christmas decorations from his car, which were stuck on with Sellotape.
“Strong words of advice” were given to him, police said.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We advise that you keep your Christmas tree lights on your Christmas tree and not on your car.
“This chap thought otherwise when we stopped him in Wrexham earlier.

“We had to be a bit of a Grinch when we spoke with this driver, kindly asking him to remove the few hours work he spent decorating his vehicle.
“It is not legal, and it is not safe.
“It causes distractions to other road users, it could cause injury to other road users, and worst of all, they were stuck on with Sellotape.
“Enjoy the festive period, but please keep the decorations on your tree next time.”
