NOTHING screams 'the weekend is finally here' quite like a slow Saturday morning accompanied with plenty of coffee and a delicious brunch.

Now, one thing I've learned since moving to Llangollen last year is that it is ALWAYS busy on a weekend. Rain or shine, summer or winter - it's usually packed. 

My partner and I (and our two-year-old pup) arrived at M'Eating Point at Berwyn Street shortly after 10am and managed to find a comfortable sofa area to sit despite not booking. Being dog-friendly, I was immediately impressed. It's something that is a huge plus for us as we love to include our pup in our weekend activities. 

We ordered flat whites which were served almost immediately, piping hot. An obvious observation, you might think, but you'd be surprised how many hot drinks arrive to the table lukewarm. Mine had oat milk, a personal preference, taking away the bitterness just slightly and making it delicious and creamy. Already we were off to a fantastic start.

Their extensive menu offers a huge variety of delicious options. And I mean, huge. Their brunch and breakfast plates are served all-day (another perk) with last orders being 4.30pm. After checking, I can confirm they stay open 'late' on Friday and Saturday with a 9pm closing.

Almost everything on offer is gluten free, with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options available. A huge appeal for anyone like my sister who is coeliac and is often restricted when eating at local businesses. 

They have everything. From cold, continental options such as a granola, porridge and a fruit plate to a full breakfast (regular and large). I was particularly intrigued and tempted by their more unique offerings, including a chorizo hash sizzler and north-African inspired shakshuka.

Of course, they included the favourites such as eggs benedict, avocado on toast, bacon sarnie, and pancakes. To keep it simple, you could also choose anything you fancied on toast. 

Trying to be slightly healthier ahead of the festive period, I opted for a fruit plate at a reasonable price of £6.95 which you can order with Nutella, yoghurt or ice cream. Despite not usually having a sweet tooth, I chose the Nutella.

My fruit platter arrived looking too delicious to eat. It offered a great selection of freshly prepared apples, banana, kiwi, watermelon, grapes and strawberries, all beautifully presented. It is a surprisingly filling choice, but one I will be sure to order again.

Meanwhile, my partner who had ordered the breakfast confirmed it was delicious and also extremely filling. Both plates were great value for money. We also opted to get a sausage and water for our dog, who naturally gobbled it up in 10 seconds.

The most expensive option on the breakfast menu is naturally the 'bigger' full breakfast costing £13.95. Toast with two free-range eggs is £4.55, and pancakes at just £8.95. In fact, I thought the prices for the dinner and lunch options were also incredibly reasonable. 

The service was speedy and super friendly - you're really made to feel welcome by everyone. Not to mention the cosy interior choices and dim lighting making it feel like home. I particularly loved the comfortable sofas and armchairs, in addition to the standard table and chair seating area. 

Overall, I would highly recommend if you're looking for a cosy and niche spot with fantastic variety, fresh home-cooked meals at an affordable price and friendly service. Yet another reason to visit Llangollen!
