A PREMIER LEAGUE manager was spotted in among the crowd at a football match in Flintshire over the weekend.
Steve Cooper was appointed boss of newly-promoted club Leicester City over the summer, replacing Enzo Maresca who became Chelsea manager.
The 44-year-old was previously with Swansea City and Nottingham Forest.
During his playing days, he was a defender who turned out for the likes of Bangor City, Rhyl and TNS and was also on the books of Wrexham AFC.
He began his coaching career at Wrexham's academy before moving to Liverpool and later the England youth set-up, where he went on to win the FIFA U-17 World Cup with the U17's side back in 2017.
Over the weekend, Cooper - who is said to still live in the Wrexham area - was spotted at a Halkyn Juniors match on Sunday (September 29).

He was at the Pentre Halkyn Play Ground to witness son Alex, 16, feature for Gresford Athletic's Under 17's team.
And it was a successful afternoon for Cooper junior as he captained the away team to a 4-0 win and provided an assist.
Posting the above picture of Cooper to social media, Halkyn Juniors wrote: "Not very often a premier league manager comes to watch Halkyn!
Steve Cooper, Leicester City manager!"
