THE THIRD edition of a popular beer and cider festival proved to be a hit once more over the weekend.

Deeside Round Table held its annual Beer and Cider Festival for a third time on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10.

The event, held at the Gladstone scout ground near Hawarden, saw guests given the chance to enjoy a range of ales and ciders from a host of different breweries.

These included; The Oaks Bro Co, Big Hand, Weetwood, Peerless, Spitting Feathers, Purple Moose, MBH, Salopian, Brimstage, Hafod and Facers.

There was also live music throughout both days from Helen Shanley, Hair of the Dog, Factory Hens, The Loving Cup, PTM, Martha Pryer, Doom Box Key and Kings of Werwin, as well as DJ Lew Clarke.

The Deeside Ladies Circle ran a prosecco and wine bar with all drinks at the festival being priced under £5.

Lovage and Rosemary served up a host of delicious street food to delight guests' taste buds and Doughson's Handmade Pizza also offered further treats to enjoy.

As always, all proceeds raised (to be confirmed), will go back into the Deeside community and will be put towards worthy projects that strive to make a difference.

Deeside Round Table Chairman Steve Woods said: "A massive thank you to everyone who joined us at the Deeside Round Table Beer Festival! The atmosphere was incredible, and we had a blast kicking off the festivities with you all."

He added: "Your support as always is awesome and very much appreciated by me and the lads."

Deeside Round Table is a charity which organises events all year round with the aim of making a difference to its community.

Every penny it raises is put back into supporting the community in various ways.

Their first beer and cider festival held in 2022 collected over £18,000.
