A WREXHAM mum who supports fellow parents in the community is the latest recipient of a prize honouring the area's greatest heroes.
The F Jones Initiative award scheme recognises those who contribute most to the Wrexham community and were originally established by Wrexham Lager and F Jones Food Service.
And the latest to be awarded on of their prizes is Shauni Thomas, from Caia Park.
She is a parent support worker in that area who has been hailed by the F Jones Initiative as someone is a 'massive influence' to those around.
Speaking after receiving the prize, Shoni said: "I have been brought up in the Caia Park Partnership Ltd since I was a teenager in youth clubs. I was able to be a part of youth forums and community work within communities for work with my late Nana."

Huge congratulations to Shauni Thomas the latest winner of a 2024-2025 Wrexham Recognition Award.
I became a young single mum when I was a teenager and was adamant it wasn't going to stop me from working within the community.
The Caia Park Partnership supported me as a young mum and through my 5 years at university. I got my degree in Youth and Community work. I did my placements and volunteered in the Caia Park Partnership. I then went back to university to do my master’s degree and my PGCE while working within the Caia Park partnership.
I am a very proud parent support worker within Caia. I've been working in the role for 5ish years. I get to support other parents on the estate daily. It's the most rewarding job I can think of and I'm at the heart of Caia Park where we try our best to make positive change and community bonds throughout the estate x”
Well done, Shauni, you are undoubtedly a massive influence on all those around you.
