THOUSANDS of people turned out for the annual Wauns Carnival in Wrexham.
The Wauns Carnival, based at Bradley Fields, was held from 11am to 6pm on Saturday (August 10) and had a huge turnout.
There were a host of activities, shows, stalls and entertainment on offer for the crowds in attendance, which totalled over 5,000.
The event is organised by volunteers every year, headed by Cllr Tina Mannering who said it was a "magical day".
Cllr Mannering added: "As local councillor for the area and the main organiser for the event, I would firstly like to thank all of the sponsors and volunteers who support me to put this event on.
"It was a pleasure to open my own carnival, we had over 5000 people through the gates and it was a magical day for everyone.
"The interactive dinosaurs who gave a fabulous show, we had the Birds of Prey, a family dog show that had record entries for the rescue Ark Angels.
"There was also a judo display, an alpaca meet and greet, a wrestling show, circus workshops, a classic car show and donkey rides. The fun fair was a great attraction and were one of our main sponsors.

"We had over 50 wonderful stalls, with food and drink vendors selling out. The picnic area with benches paid for by the community council had bums on seats all day.
"The Entertainment Stage ran by Martyn and Kitas Disco was absolutely full of fun all morning and into the afternoon until the live music began at 2pm. We had performances from Abstract, Guitar Olly and the Swillers. The crowds were up dancing and singing.
"A huge thank you to Wrexham Lager who have sponsored us since we began in 2018, as well as Karlos from the Wrexham Round Table. Thank you to everyone else who was involved, there's just too many to mention."
