Steven Nuthall, aged 44 and of Glascoed Way in Summerhill, was sentenced for one count of fraud by false representation, in that on May 22 last year at Wrexham, he failed to fulfil building work as promised, intending to make a gain of £950 for himself. The court fined him £300 for the offence and ordered him to pay compensation in the sum of £600. He must also pay £85 costs.
Aneurin Stephens, aged 21 and of Third Avenue in Gwersyllt, was sentenced for driving a motor vehicle when the proportion of a controlled drug (cannabis) exceeded the specified limit. The court imposed a 12 month driving ban and ordered the defendant to pay a £150 fine, as well as £85 costs.

Oliwia Pieczkowska, aged 20 and of Albert Street in Wrexham, was sentenced for eight counts of theft from shop. The goods she stole included a toothbrush, fragrance sets, washing tablets, bottles of perfume, razors, a hairdryer and straighteners - and took place at various stores in Wrexham and Flintshire. The stolen goods came to a total value of more than £1,000. The court issued a community order, which will run until February 5, 2026. The defendant must undergo a three month drug rehabilitation programme, as well as 160 hours of unpaid work. The defendant must pay compensation to the stores in the value of the goods taken, as well as £85 prosecution costs.
Sherry Thomas, aged 45 and of White Lion Close in Summerhill, was sentenced for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. The court fined the defendant £100 for the offence issued an exclusion order to prevent attendance at Gwersyllt Men's Club in Mold Road, Gwersyllt, for 12 months. Thomas must also pay £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.
Andrew Littler, aged 52 and of no fixed abode, as sentenced for to counts of theft from shop. He took goods worth £88.37 from Holland and Barratt and flowers worth £40 from Firefly - both in Wrexham. The court ordered him to pay back compensation in the sum of £40 to Firefly and £60 to Holland and Barratt, as ell as imposing an eight week custodial sentence, suspended for a year. He must also pay £85 costs.
