A WOMAN from St Asaph ran the London Marathon on Sunday (April 21), and raised more than £2,000 for a charity close to her family’s hearts.

Holly Williams, who is also owner and lead practitioner at the Denbigh Foot Clinic, completed the marathon in a time of four hours and 11 minutes.

She has currently raised £2,256 for Parkinson’s UK on her online donation page - 2024tcslondonmarathon.enthuse.com/pf/holly-williams.

It was the first time she had ran a full marathon, having followed the London Marathon training plan diligently, including running her last 22-mile training preparation run two weeks ago.

Holly described running the marathon as a “truly amazing experience”, and thanked everyone who sponsored her and made donations both through the clinic and via her online donation page.

Her donations included more than £500 from patients at the Denbigh Foot Clinic.

Parkinson’s UK is a charity which funds research and improved care for Parkinson’s, a disease for which there can be more than 40 symptoms but is currently no cure.
