BY foot or by bike - views are being sought on active travel proposals in Llangollen.

People are being asked to have their say on future improvements for local walking, wheeling and cycling along Brook Street – between Ysgol Y Gwernant and Ysgol Bryn Collen and the junction with the A5.

Comments on the immediate surrounding area are also welcome.

Denbighshire County Council is currently working with Sustrans Cymru to understand how to make local active travel – a term used for non-motor journeys with a purpose – in the area accessible, safer and more enjoyable for the whole community, encouraging more journeys to be taken on foot or cycle instead of by car.

Sustrans, on behalf of the council, is now seeking feedback from the people that live, work and travel along Brook Street who could benefit from the proposals, on what they would like to see along the new routes in the future.

Residents can share their ideas and feedback by visiting the project website hosted by Sustrans at

The survey will be available online until April 3.

Everyone is welcome to join the conversation at the first public co-design workshop on March 22 at Llangollen Town Hall (7-8.30pm).

Paper versions of the consultation can be obtained by contacting Sustrans Cymru through e-mailing or by writing to Sustrans Cymru, One Canal Parade, Dumballs Road, Cardiff CF10 5BF.
