BALA residents are being urged to 'be vigilant' following the theft of a quad bike.

North Wales Police say the vehicle was stolen from a property in the area.

Officers are now urging vigilance in both Bala and the surrounding areas following the incident.

Posting on the NWP community alerts page, Lona Davenport, PCSO for NWP's Gwynedd South team wrote: "Please be aware in the Bala and surrounding area a quad bike has been stolen from a property in the area.

"Please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to North Wales Police on 101."
