WREXHAM AFC's Strategic Advisor to the Board has revealed that the club has sold over 24,000 shirts during the 22/23 season to date.

Shaun Harvey revealed the incredible figure during his appearance on the latest episode of the Rob, Ryan, Red Podcast.

Entitled 'Shaun of the Red', the episode saw the podcast team grill Mr Harvey on a range of subjects from the Kop re-development to the current ticket situation.

Also discussed was the amount of shirts that the club has managed to sell this season - and that figure proved to be staggering across the range of shirts it has available.

The Wrexham strategic advisor said: "24,000 shirts have been and gone. At first, well, I thought we'd oredered too many.

"And I suspect if you'd have asked most people how many they think we should order at the start of the year, they wouldn't have got to 24,000 either."

Mr Harvey added that the shirt-ordering process has seen the club 'learning as it goes along' this season.

He added: "Next season, we're going to order a lot more shirts. We're looking at ordering 35,000 shirts next season across three kits.

"I'm still no wiser now to this day if that's the right number. We'll do better, because there will be more shirts earlier. We can top up that order again when the first lot of orders come in."

Mr Harvey also revealed the club's three kits for next season have 'already been approved' and that co-chairman Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney had given their 'input' into the designs.

The club itself has garnered worldwide recognition since the Hollywood duo took over in early 2021.

The highly-successful Welcome to Wrexham documentary has also brought in new supporters from across the globe, clearly pushing the sales of shirts further than ever before.
