Tickets to Wrexham's game against Solihull Moors on Boxing Day sold out in under 10 minutes this morning.

Top of the table Wrexham host the Moors on Boxing Day, as they continue towards their aim of returning to the Football League.

The Reds failed to beat Solihull last season, with both games ending in draws, as the Midlands side fell just short of promotion, losing to Grimsby in the play-off final.

The pair are set to face off twice over the festive period, with Wrexham playing at home on Boxing Day and making the trip to Solihull on January 2.

Tickets to the game on Boxing Day went on sale to members at 10am this morning.

By 10.10am they were sold out.

Since Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds' takeover, attendances at the Racecourse have skyrocketed.

Wrexham's support has been magnificent this season, with an average home attendance of 9,949.

That is almost 2,000 more than second-placed Notts County.

It will be the first Boxing Day game at the Racecourse with fans for three years, with Covid restrictions affecting the past two seasons.

A fond festive memory for the Reds faithful will be during the 2018/19 season when Wrexham hammered Salford City 5-1 in front of over 8,000.

The club has confirmed that while tickets have sold out online, fans may still have the chance to pick one up for the game, with returns and unused seats possibly available to be released closer to the date.

The Reds are next in action on Saturday, when they travel to York City, a game that will be televised live on BT Sport at 12.30pm.
