Wrexham AFC look set to break the 100,000 barrier when they host Oldham Athletic this weekend.

So far in the Reds' first ten home games, the attendance has totaled a whopping 96,262.

With Oldham Athletic in town on Sunday for the FA Cup first-round tie, breaking the 100,000 barrier will be a certainty.

The Reds did break the 100,000 barrier last season, but it took them until January to do so, this year it will come during the first weekend of November.

Wrexham has won all ten of their home games this season, scoring 38 goals in the process.

Phil Parkinson's men have certainly been entertaining the large crowds in attendance.

In the League, Wrexham has twice broken an attendance record for the season, with the current high being 1,107.

Meanwhile, the lowest crowd has been 9,805, which is still more than 21 other teams in the league.

Even the cup replay against Blyth Spartans had a crowd of near 7,000.

Attendances have been on the rise since Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds became co-chairmen of the club, with the substantial growth of the club combined with bigger gates at the Racecourse.

Wrexham took over 2,500 to Oldham when the sides met in October, so a crowd of 10,000 plus could be on the cards.

Despite it being a 12.30 kick-off on a Sunday, there is no doubt it will be a sell-out as the Reds try and make the second round of the cup for the first time in four seasons.
