WREXHAM residents have been getting their thinking caps on this week as we posed our latest question to them.

The spotlight is very much on Wrexham at the moment, in particular due to it having earned City status recently.

And then of course you have the added bonus of the takeover of the football club by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - a tale which will hit our screens at the end of the month.

There's a real buzz around the place and that could, of course, attract some big names to its centre in the near future.

With that in mind, earlier this week we asked our readers 'What's one thing that is missing from the centre of Wrexham?'

And as always, they came up with some brilliant ideas. Here are just a few of them ...

Emma Roberts said: "Open green space/picnic/play area, would be lovely if the new area on Henblas Street was open and had a couple of picnic benches and some kids play equipment."

Allan Jones added: "Turn Eagles Meadow into an entertainment centre with food, bars, music etc then all the shops can go back where they belong in the centre of town."

Hefina Wainwright told us: "TJ Hughes and Marks and Spencer back in their old shop."

Amy Kennedy came up with something a little different. She said: "A walk-in/minor injuries unit to stop people clogging up A&E. More frequent buses to the villages outside town."

Anne Mansbridge said: "A decent shopping centre would be great."

Emily Gresham said: "More quirky independent shops. Bigger live music venues. A skate park for chiildren and young people, they are always asking for this."

Faye Evans added: "Breakout/Escape rooms."

Daniel Hopkins said: "Five Guys and Taco Bell."
