Summer was often heralded by big community events, and none proved more popular than the local carnival.
Today we look at a collection of photos from the Pentre Broughton Carnival that took place in 1974.
It was a spectacle of floats and fancy dress, with members of the crowd - made up of all ages - also dressed to impress.
Can you remember it? Hopefully you can you spot yourself or friends, and don't forget to tag each other.
Do you have photos from the past you would like to share? You can share them with us here.
Did you miss? Rag Week, carnivals and more community celebrations
