READERS have had their say on safety concerns over a Ruabon road and roundabout.

The Leader reported on Wednesday how resident Kevin Andrews called for more to be done to improve safety on the A539 Llangollen Road.

He has previously spoken about speeding and anti-social driving on the on the Costa roundabout, and reiterated his worries that "someone is going to get killed" after a car left the road and came to rest in some trees over the weekend.

Readers took to the Leader's Facebook page to have their say on the issue.

Sue Hart Evans posted: "Now road markings have gone everyone has a different idea of which lane to be in.

"They need to put road markings down so there is no argument should an accident occur.

"The problem I think is that the road markings used to be left lane for Cefn Mawr, right lane for straight on or right turn.

"But now there is no markings so it is a free-for-all, plus people don't indicate so it's a nightmare when it gets busy."

El Phillips posted: "No road is a problem - it’s the drivers that are a problem. People change lanes, flash once, then move over no matter if there's a car on top of them or not.

"Needs signs and road markings because drivers obviously can't figure it out themselves."

Vera Rushton said: "Traffic too fast approaching roundabout all the time."

"White lines will be refreshed to provide clarity."
