Ty Pawb narrowly missed out on being crowned Arts Fund Museum of the Year 2022.
The Wrexham hub was edged by London’s Horniman Museum and Gardens which will see them be the recipients of the £100,000 prize.
Despite the result, Ty Pawb were quick to offer their congratulations to the victors.
“Congratulations to Horniman Museum and Gardens. And to all our fellow finalists, People’s History Museum, The Story Museum and Museum of Making.
“We’re so proud to be a finalist and to represent Wrexham and Wales at the highest level.
“For Ty Pawb to be considered in the top five museums in the UK is an unbelievable achievement.
“A huge thank you to all the traders, visitors, artists, volunteers and team members who have helped to make all this possible.”
Despite missing out on the main prize, Ty Pawb will recieve a £15,000 in recognition of their amazing work and achievements within the local community.
