A red dragon sculpture that once guarded Tesco Roundabout in Wrexham is now up for auction and looking for a new home.
Morag was once a popular sight in Wrexham after she was installed on the roundabout in 2012, where remained for over six years.
Morag is around 2.9 metres, or 9ft 6in tall, but when placed on a pedestal she is about 4.4 metres/ 14ft 6in tall. She also has a wingspan of 2.2 metres, or over 7ft.
She was made by Steve Gillard of Poplars Forge in Hawarden.
She is going up for auction with Wingetts Ltd in Wrexham on Tuesday, July 19. The auction will begin at 10.30am and Morag is lot 300 on the day.
Wingetts have estimated the price of Morag at around £8,000 – £10,000.
A spokesperson for Wingetts said: “It would be great to see ‘Morag’ back on display somewhere in Wrexham, her home!”
