One Wrexham fan took her love for the club to new heights after donning a Reds' inspired outfit to her prom night.

Jess Lacey and her family are Wrexham AFC mad, they all hold a season ticket at the Racecourse Ground and never miss a game.

Her mum, Hannah Thomas, described her room as a 'Wrexham shrine' which is built up of all her Taid's memorabilia as well as the more recent collection too.

Jess's love for the Reds' stemmed so far that she was adamant she would be wearing a Wrexham top to her school prom night, something that her mum wasn't too keen on.

Hannah said: "As soon as Jess said that the prom was being arranged at school, she was adamant that she was going to attend it wearing her Wrexham football shirt!

"We argued for weeks because I said she should wear a dress for prom, so I thought we could compromise on a red Wrexham-themed dress."

Without Jess knowing, Hannah had bought a dress, bag and shoes alongside some Wrexham badges and with the help of Jess's Nain, they added one badge to the dress and one on the sole of each shoe.

It was a pleasant surprise for Jess when she was shown her Wrexham-themed dress.

Hannah added: "Jess loved the dress, she didn’t want to palaver of going around shops trying dresses on so the way we did it worked out really well.

"She wanted to wear Wrexham AFC to her prom and this way she did."

Like many prom dresses, Jess's is now hung up in her wadrobe, but her mum is hoping to get one final touch to it.

Hannah is hoping to get a number of Wrexham players to sign the dress as a reminder of the Reds-inspired prom night.
