Wrexham City police are called to a wide range of incidents and situations every day.

On Friday morning Inspector Luke Hughes, who leads the team, has shared details of some of the tasks his officers dealt with in the preceding 24 hours.

He summarised: "59 calls for service in the last 24 hours - nine of those required an immediate blue light response.

"21 required non-urgent response, but desirable within an hour of the call being received.

"The rest will be picked up by the neighbourhood team or desk based enquiry officers across the force."

Here are some of the incidents officers were called to:

8.47am - first of three call from large town centre retailers. Insp Hughes explained: "It appears that between 5pm and 8pm on the 29th June, most have been visited by an organised group of what are likely to be offenders from out of the area. They have systematically entered the store, made their way to the alcohol section, in particular spirits, before selecting and stealing a significant number of bottles. Officers will attend today and collate the CCTV footage and record statements; it is highly likely they have been active across the region."
