A QUEENSFERRY hair and beauty salon is launching a ‘Dads Doing Hair’ workshop.

Oasis Hair and Beauty Academy’s new workshop teaches dads how to braid and style their daughter’s hair and has already proved to be popular.

The scheme is a chance for dads to spend one on one time with their daughters and to also learn the skills behind certain hairdo’s.

The workshop will show dads how to correctly comb knots out of hair without hurting their daughters, how to create bunches, braid hair, and how to do an elegant bun.

Owner, Sara King said: “A lot of the time, dads don’t really have a clue when it comes to styling their daughter’s hair, so this workshop is an opportunity for them to learn these skills.

“There are lots of single dads or weekend dads out there who maybe don’t know what to do when it comes to doing hair, this workshop is a chance for them to learn.

"Mums are also welcome; we do get lots of mums who maybe aren’t that great with hair either.

It’s also a great chance for dads to spend some quality time with their daughters."

Daughters or training heads can be used, whilst all tools will be supplied.

The three-hour workshop costs £50 but the first 10 dads who sign up will receive £20 off, with the first workshop being held Thursday, August 4.
