A BUCKLEY florist has been celebrating ‘National Lonely Bouquet’ day by placing bouquets around the Flintshire area.
Elsbeth Cleary, owner of Elimay’s Flowers in Buckley and her daughter, Jessica braved the windy conditions yesterday at Buckley Common and surrounding areas to place the bouquets as a gesture for someone to find.

Elsbeth said: “I've been doing this a few years now. It's an international/national day where florists leave bouquets as a gift to make someone smile. The gift is for themselves or to pass on to someone to brighten their day.
“It definitely made my little girl smile.”
Lonely bouquet day is celebrated annually by florists all over the country.
The aim of this initiative is for florists and flower lovers all around the world to dedicate one day a year to making strangers happy.
