A PERSON was taken to hospital amid reports of a large emergency services presence at an industrial estate. 

The Welsh Ambulance Service said it was called to an "incident" at Saltney Industrial Park, on River Lane, at about 9pm on Tuesday. 

Witnesses reported seeing several police cars, as well as ambulances, and that someone had been "hurt".

North Wales Police described it as a "medical incident", with one person subsequently taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital. 

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday (Tuesday, June 21) at 9.01pm to reports of an incident near the Industrial Park on River Lane, Chester.

"We sent one emergency ambulance and two rapid response vehicles to the scene. One person was taken to Countess of Chester Hospital for further treatment.”

No further details on the nature of the incident are available.
