A PERSON was taken to hospital after an air ambulance landed on high school playing fields in Wrexham.
The Welsh Ambulance Service has said it was called to an "incident" in the Rhosnesni area on Wednesday morning, with an air ambulance landing on Ysgol Rhosnesni playing fields.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (Wednesday) at 9.31am to reports of an incident in Rhosnesni.
“We sent one emergency ambulance, one community first responder and one rapid response vehicle to the scene.
“We were supported by our Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service, along with the Wales Air Ambulance.
“One person was taken by road to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.”
North Wales Police has been approached for further information.
