NORTH Wales Police officers joined forces with children of a Wrexham school to help stop speeding motorists in their tracks this week.

On Wednesday, June 15, two PCSO's from NWP's Wrexham Rural team visited the reception class at Ysgol Cefn Mawr.

They then teamed up to carry out speed checks along Plas Kynaston Lane, which is a 20mph zone.

The kids displayed happy face signs for when passing vehicles were sticking to the limit or sad faces for when they were speeding.

A statement from NWP read: "The class created some wonderful paintings, displaying ‘happy’ and ‘sad’ faces; they were delighted to show lots of ‘happy faces’ to drivers who kept within the 20mph limit.

"Only one driver received a ‘sad face’ from the children."
