A MAN has been warned by a Judge that he is in "grave jeopardy" of going to jail after he admitted having intent to pervert the course of justice.

Jason Mead, of Shelley Road in Chester, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Monday afternoon.

The 39-year-old admitted that in Mold between October and November 2020, he committed acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice, in that he submitted two fraudulent medical certificates.

Judge Nicola Saffman told the defendant: "You need to have time to discuss [your] pre-sentence report with your barrister.

"You will know what the usual sentence is for a case like this - you're in grave jeopardy of an immediate custodial sentence."

The Judge adjourned the sentence to one week later - to take place on June 20.
