North Wales Police are warning residents to be aware of a man claiming to be collecting donations for Nightingale House and Hope House Hospices.
The man in question has over the last week been knocking on doors in the Mold area requesting charitable donations.
A statement from North Wales Police read: “It has been clarified that this male does not work for either charity and has no affiliation to them whatsoever.
“If anyone knocks on your door claiming to be affiliated with or work for a charity/company, you are well within your rights to ask to see identification and/or proof.
"Legitimate workers will have this readily available and will be more than happy to show you. If you are still not convinced, then you can always get in touch with the company direct to clarify.”
“In this instance, the local Nightingale House Hospice telephone number is 01978 316800 should you wish to check with them.”
Residents are urged to pass this information on to any family or friends who would benefit from this information.
