Flint RNLI crew newlyweds were awarded Jubilee medals on their wedding day as thanks for the lifesaving service they help to provide.
James and Aby were married on Friday, June 3, and incorporated the RNLI lifeboat and crew into the wedding.
Since 1966 the inshore D- class lifeboat and crews at Flint have been saving lives at sea, as well as inland during flooding.
During the celebrations, they were presented with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal giving the couple thanks for their life-saving work.
Other members of the Flint RNLI have also received the award, though not on an occasion as special as their wedding days.

Alan Forrester, Lifeboat Operations Manager, said: “It was a great privilege to present the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medals to James and Aby on their very special day.
“Both are long standing volunteers at Flint RNLI and we are equally proud of the lifesaving work they undertake. It seemed appropriate for them both to receive their medals together after the wedding service. We all wish them both the very best and happiness for the future.”
Congratulations James and Aby!
