PIC: Where will you be celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee?

Elsewhere, Ruabon Community Council, in collaboration with Friends of Ruabon are also holding an event to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee at the village hall on Maes y Llan Lane.

The 'Ruabon Community Jubilee Festival' will be the first opportunity for residents to come together in this way since the Covid-19 pandemic.

There will be numerous stalls with produce and representations from local community groups.

The council is encouraging people to bring along picnics as part of 'The Big Jubilee Lunch', to create an atmosphere like a traditional street party!

The event will be free to attend and the council says it is keen to 'recognise the importance of bringing fun and positivity to our locality after a particularly challenging couple of years'.

The day will begin with a parade through the village, with children dressed in royal attire. There will also be family friendly entertainment, bouncy castle, food stalls and other activities for all to enjoy!
