A Flintshire healthcare worker has received the Occupational Therapist (OT) of the year award.
Rebecca Boothby works at Cygnet Defryn in Mold and received the award at a virtual conference organised by the Cygnet Healthcare group.
Shani Tanti, Operations Director at Cygnet Delfryn, said she "goes above and beyond, not only putting 100% into all patients on the unit but takes time to check in on staff too.”
Ms Boothby has given speeches in over 200 schools across the UK and has been involved in a podcast called “The OT life”.

Ms Boothby has also led several webinars for sixth form students that aim to inspire young people to enter the profession.
Ms Boothby said: “My job is fulfilling because I get to see the difference in individuals once they first arrive and throughout their recovery.”
The award was set up by Cygnet to celebrate and recognise the hard work of staff with winners being nominated by service users and other staff members.

Cygnet Delfryn specialises in high dependency inpatient rehabilitation for those with severe mental illness.
There are two centres; the Cygnet Defryn lodge which supports men and the Cygnet Delfryn House which supports women.
The team provide support to individuals to prepare for independent living, helping them to write CV's as well as develop other necessary skills.
