Wrexham man who killed grandmother has sentence delayed

This young man was due to be sentenced after he admitted manslaughter at a previous hearing.

But it was decided that further advice was needed before court could proceed to sentence.

Flintshire men in court after illegal cockle poaching

The Leader:

Police caught these men unloading cockles from a boat onto a slipway in Flintshire.
The operation resulted in two seizures of cockles weighing three tons with a market value of between £9,000-£10,500.

Depraved Wrexham paedophile assaulted young boy, court told

This man was found to have more than 75,000 indecent images on his devices, which a Judge describes as "amongst the most depraved."
He was also convicted of assaulting a young boy almost two decades ago.

Pair took alcohol worth £3,500 in Wrexham pub burglary

These burglars were found in the street with bags full of booze.

A court heard the alcohol they took was worth thousands of pounds.

Gwersyllt man in court over cannabis and cocaine possession

A district Judge told this man the amount of cannabis in his property was "beyond what could be expected for personal usage."

Wrexham man avoids jail after admitting stalking former wife

Police discovered that after separating from his wife, this man searched "how to hire hitmen" and "life insurance."

He "continuously harassed" the complainant by appearing near where she was staying and making repeated attempts to reach out to her via social networking sites.

Suspended sentence for Chirk woman who had knife in town

This woman alarmed members of the public when she was spotted carrying an eight inch blade around in Wrexham.

She'd been before the court for a similar offence just months earlier - in which she was found near a railway line with a steak knife.
