Fans for Wrexham AFC, including one fan travelling all the way from Denmark, are gearing up ready for this Sunday's (May 22) FA Trophy Final at Wembley against Bromley.

Brian Lyck Jørgensen, who runs the Danish Reds Facebook page, is ready to see what the next few games bring.

The Leader:

He has been a fan of the club for over three decades and Sunday's match will not be the first time he has seen the club in the FA Trophy final.

He explained: “I’ve been following Wrexham since 1989 and been to several games at the Cae Ras and I was at the FA Trophy final in 2015, where we unfortunately lost.

“I am looking forward to the final at Wembley, but even more, a promotion to league two, hopefully. A club like Wrexham should be in the league system.

“But with only one promotion spot it’s difficult and the playoffs are like winning the lottery."

The pandemic had put a stop to his visits to the Racecourse to see the team play, but that has changed.

He said: “I’m looking forward to seeing the team in action, especially after the covid lockdown, where it was impossible to come to Wales and watch them.

"I hope this season ends with a promotion; it would also be amazing for the new owners to make such an achievement in their first season as club owners.”
