WREXHAM AFC top scorer Paul Mullin took to social media to voice his admiration for the club's supporters following the defeat on the final day of the season.

The Reds missed out on the automatic promotion and the National Leage title as they lost 3-0 at Dagenham and Redbridge.

A further 1-0 win for Stockport County at home against Halifax Town meant that they were crowned champions on the final day.

But, despite that disappointment, Wrexham fans and players alike are remaining hopeful that success will be enjoyed by the club in one way or another in the coming weeks.

The upcoming trip to Wembley this Sunday (May 22) for the FA Trophy final v Bromley will be followed up by a semi-final play-off match v either Grimsby Town or Notts County the weekend after.

Following the defeat on final day, star striker Paul Mullin hailed the 'unbelievable support' that the Reds have enjoyed 'all season'.

He also congratulated former Wrexham player Connor Jennings on being promoted to the English Football League (EFL) with champions Stockport before turning his attentions to the play-offs.
