Police have confirmed several thefts took place in the Wrexham area earlier this week. 

North Wales Police alerted residents that they received a number of reports of thefts from motor-vehicles on the morning of Thursday May 12. 

The thefts took place in the areas of Plas Madoc, Rhosymedre and Newbridge. 

A North Wales Police statement said:

"For your awareness, on the morning of Thursday 12th May, North Wales Police received several reports of thefts from motor-vehicles.

"This happened in the areas of Plas Madoc, Rhosymedre and Newbridge; believed to have taken place during the early hours. 

"Investigations are underway.
