On May 14th and 15th families are invited to partake in a variety of workshops and events set to embody the dark ages.

Welsh medieval combat re-enactment group Cwmwd lal will be performing two arena shows per day. 

15 adults and five children from the group will be portraying the people living in Wales between the 9th and 12th centuries.

Theatr Clwyd will also be running a workshop on the 14th. 

The event will run from 11am to 3pm on both days however Bailey Hill have warned it is weather dependent. 

The newly refurbished Bailey Hill Centre will be serving refreshments over the course of the day. 

Bailey Hill is the site of an early medieval castle established by the Normans in the late 11th Century.

The site reopened earlier this year after undergoing a £1.8 million refurbishment that began in January 2020. 

Since reopening the centre has hosted several events such as outdoor yoga, guided tours and Easter egg hunts.
