Wrexham’s Chevron Clothing is making sure that football fans are getting Wembley ready with their popular t-shirt prints.

The shop, owned by Timothy Steel, has been a familiar sight in the town centre for 28 years, first on Henblas Street and for the last eight years on High Street.

Chevron’s prints have become an iconic part of Wrexham, and they are now celebrating the success of Wrexham AFC as two important matches approach.

The Wembley and Wrexham prints have been so popular, that the shop has been selling out of them.

The shop is also a favourite of Wrexham’s “super” Paul Mullin who was pleased to see a print dedicated to himself.

Timothy, the owner, says that they are expecting to see the prints appear in Wembley on May 22, and the excitement toward the football club is something he’s never seen before, only being able to compare it to Wales’ 2016 Euro run.

Hundreds of shirts have already been sold.

Timothy explained that the prints are a “bit of fun” and proving popular.

He said: “We’re going to do a few more for next season because the football is going to, touch wood, if they do well is going to get huge isn’t it."

As a family-run business, he thinks that the prints are going to continue to grow along with the football, which they are all fans of. Tim will, unfortunately, be the only one missing out on a trip to Wembley to open the shop.

He said: “It will definitely grow, especially if you offer the quality service which we do, they’ll come back. We’ve sold hundreds of them, and we have had none returned which for me is a massive compliment.”

Tim thinks that Wrexham will get their promotion, and is confident it will be an automatic promotion on Sunday.

He said: “I think that Stockport will lose because they’ve got a tough game. I think Wrexham will win, and it could be automatic promotion.”
