RESIDENTS are being urged to 'take extra security measures' after a horsebox trailer was stolen from the Wrexham area.

North Wales Police say the Ifor Williams 511 trailer was stolen overnight between May 9 and 10.

The incident took place in the Erbistock area.

A statement from NWP on the matter read: "Overnight between May 9 and 10, an Ivor Williams 511 horsebox/ trailer was stolen from an address in the Erbistock area of Wrexham.

"If anyone has any information that they think might assist Police in their inquiries they are asked to make contact via 101 quoting crime reference B066427.

"North Wales Police are asking owners of similar items to be aware and to take extra security measures when parking them up.

"We are also asking for members of the public to report any suspicious vehicles, especially in rural areas."
