All five lots that were on offer in an auction in Mold were sold this week, giving the action a 100% success rate.

J Bradburne Price & Co auction saw a large turnout at The Old Padeswood Golf Club, Mold on Tuesday, 26 April.

The varied Lots of residential redevelopment, agricultural, and amenity land, all generated a huge amount of interest prior to the auction and the prices obtained, and all were in excess of the guide price reflected this pre-auction interest.

The highest price on the night was £490,000 for The Woodlands, Brymbo, a substantial dwelling requiring modernisation set in nine acres.  

The second-highest price on the night was £132,000 for an attractive parcel of agricultural land at Moorside, Rossett where 8.9 acres sold for £132,000 (£14,800/acre).

 Three separate Lots of small paddocks, woodland, and amenity land saw frantic bidding with a 1.9-acre paddock at Trelawnyd knocked down for £60,000 (£31,500/acre), 0.78 acres of rough overgrown amenity land at Babell securing a bid of £40,000 and 7 acres of woodland at Holywell selling for £37,000.

Auctioneer Peter Lewis commented that the success of the sale is clear evidence of the strong demand for a range of rural properties and the benefit of selling by auction in achieving open and transparent competitive bidding and securing an immediate exchange of contracts.
